Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

1.   Define generative artificial intelligence (AI) and distinguish it from traditional AI applications in healthcare.

2.    Identify current and emerging uses of AI in clinical practice, including documentation, education, and decision support relevant to family nurse practitioners.

3.    Describe practical ways FNPs, students, and faculty can safely and effectively incorporate AI tools into daily workflows without compromising clinical judgment or patient safety.

4.    Recognize key ethical, legal, and privacy considerations when using AI in healthcare settings, including HIPAA compliance and AI limitations.

5.     Demonstrate how to get started using generative AI tools for administrative, educational, and clinical tasks in a secure and responsible manner.
